Compress Your 1 GB data to Just 10 MB !

How many times have you wanted to compress large files ( of the order of 1-10GB) into a few MBs. A software called KGB archiver just does that! Its a compression tool just like Winrar/Wizip archiver but works much better.
One can compress that data in two formats:
- KGB format
- ZIP format
For the KGB format it takes 5-6 hours on a 256 MB RAM, to compress 1 GB data to less than 10 MB , but in order to decompress it, u again take the same amount of time. Moreover u need KGB archiver for decompression too.
If you go for the ZIP format, it takes 6-7 hours on a 256 MB ram for compression. But both WINRAR & WINZIP can decompress it in minutes. You just need to set the compression level to maximum.
There is also an option to auto shutdown your computer after the compression is over. It means you can always go to school/college/office and keep your files to get compressed.
So what are you waiting for ?
WINDOWS VISTA IN JUST 1.4 Mb?
Now u can even get a windows setup in just a floppy disk! Here is the link to download Windows Vista for just 1.4 mb. After u extract it with Winrar, burn the [.iso] file in a dvd and you have a bootable windows vista dvd with you. I would recommend buying a genuine license from Microsoft to install the same.

sir this kgb is not 100% perfect……..some file it does not compress ….i compressed a 159mb file and when the compression started it told time estimated 924571:25:00………
and gave me a file which was 159 mb only

@ ankit : It might be not cent percent effective dude. I mean in all cases or might be you ended up selecting some wrong formats. Try it in ZIP format/ KGP format using the same achiever.

ok sorry to say it a crap
but i couldnt do it
it spent 6.5 hours decompressing ‘Office 2k6.kgb’ and when it finally finished………………..bad luck!
pls tell me or guide how to do that ……..i would be very thankful…………….
n i dont hve that power to do it myself coz i’m not a big geek just a 15 yr old one……………..pls help????????????

It’s work with VISTA, Longhorn, XP iso images and MS Office 2007 too…
but unfortunately, it is not working for all….
many times it fails to compress at the ratio said above….

@ Devil : Hi! I am sorry for the missing link, but this post is an old post. This is evdent from the fact that we already have MS Office 2007 in the market! I anyhoe do not use windows, So I am sorry if any of information regarding Microsoft products is wrong!It worked once upon a time, you may rather google it to get the .rar files for Windows vista. I compress 467mb folder using KGB archive to zip it wonder it compress data to 423mb what the KGB done nothing
